Renkus-Heinz Becomes CobraNet Affiliate

Renkus-Heinz recently became a CobraNet affiliate, with the announcement made by Rich Zwiebel, Peak Audio vice president.

"The CobraNet affiliate program is the perfect solution for manufactures who need to get their CobraNet compatible products to market quickly," says Zwiebel. "The product development window can be greatly reduced by using our CM-1 module."

The CM-1 provides a CobraNet compliant interface in the form of a compact, low power module. Providing 32 channels of distributed digital audio input and output, the CM-1 is designed to be easily integrated into professional audio products such as signal processors, amplifiers and self-powered loudspeakers.

CobraNet uses standard 100BASE-T Ethernet computer networking components, which are low in cost and readily available. At 20 bits, up to 128 audio channels can be carried over standard 100BASE-TX, CAT-5 or fiber optic cables.
