Mackie Introduces New Two-Way & Three-Way Loudspeakers

Mackie announced has introduced the SA1232 three-way and SA1251 two-way sound reinforcement loudspeakers incorporating the company’s proprietary Active Technology.

The SA1232 Three-Way Loudspeaker:

Tri-amplified, horn-loaded active system for club PA systems and or medium to large-size churches. Includes RCF components: two 12-in woofers with 3-in inside/outside high temperature coil technology; a high-output horn loaded 6-in midrange speaker; and a 1-in exit compression driver mounted on a wide dispersion, 90 degrees by 40 degrees horn. Mackie says that this unique horn design combines mid and high frequencies to eliminate unwanted phase shifting. Maximum peak SPL is listed at 133dB. No other performance specs were supplied.

The SA1232 is powered by a integrated module containing three separate amplifiers—one for each driver, which together generate 1300 watts (RMS) of power and an impressive maximum peak SPL of 133 dB. Integrated electronics provide equalization, time correction and phase alignment along with electronic and component protection circuitry. The SA1232 also includes a single line level control.

Enclosure front, back and sides are constructed of 13-ply Baltic Birch, with two “large-grip” side handles as well as top and bottom handles allow optimal portability, set-up and repositioning.

The SA1521 Two-Way Loudspeaker:

Bi-amplified, horn-loaded, active system for club PA systems, mobile DJs and churches; it is also a complement to Mackie’s CFX series of compact mixers. Includes RCF components: single 15-in woofer with 2.5-in inside/outside high temperature coil technology; and a 1-in. exit compression driver mounted on a 75 degrees by 65 degrees mid/high frequency wide-dispersion horn design. Maximum peak SPL is listed at 130dB. No other performance specs were supplied.

The SA1521 is powered by an integrated module containing two separate amplifiers—one for each driver, which together generate 500 watts RMS of power. Integrated electronics provide equalization, time correction and phase alignment along with electronic and component protection circuitry. The SA-1521 also includes a single line level control.
