Gold-Line Debuts New Speech Intelligibility Measurement System

Gold Line has introduced a new measurement system for measuring speech intelligibility. This system makes use of Gold Line's DSP30 analyzer platform along with the STI-PA signal CD developed by TNO Laboratories in the Netherlands.

TNO researched and developed the STI-PA test signal and was instrumental in the establishment of STI as the premier international code for speech intelligibility.

With Gold Line's new system, STI measurements can be made more simply than prior methods. Once the STI-PA signal has been input to the system under test, a single button push on the DSP30 will produce the STI, converted to the Common Intelligibility Scale as specified in IEC standard 60849.

The STI-PA signal can be left continuously playing, making it possible to simply move the DSP30 to a new position and initiate a new measurement.
