The New EV SxA250 Powered Loudspeaker

Electro-Voice (EV) has introduced SxA250 loudspeaker, a 15-in, two-way self-contained sound system with mixable mic and line inputs, 2-band EQ, line output and separate 350-watt dynamic LF amp and 150-watt dynamic HF amp.

The SxA250 can function as a self-contained vocal system, a powered floor monitor, and a full-range music system, or can be combined with the SxA180 powered 18-incinwoofer system.

It is loaded with a DH2010a pure titanium compression driver and DL15BFH cast frame15-inin woofer. The constant directivity horn offers a coverage pattern of 80-degrees x 55-degrees.

The SxA250’s enclosure is made of seven-ply plywood and weighs 49 pounds. It has handles on the top and the side so that it can be easily transported horizontally or vertically.

The SxA250 also has a built-in stand mount adaptor and can be hung safely using EV’s optional SxAkit. The SxAkit comes complete with a piece of L-track, an insert for the pull-up point on the rear of the enclosure and two single-stud Ancra fittings.

The list price for the SxA250 is $1,098 and $100 for the SxAkit suspension kit.
