Blue Flagship Hits the Road
Recently, the first production batch of the ES 40 amplifier left the Stage Accompany factory, with which the ES 40 was officially "launched".
This new "flagship" model for the Efficiency Series amplifier range, which received excellent test reviews in the media, is based on the same "high speed/high current" class G design for increased efficiency.
The ES 40 is a real "powerhouse" with a power output of 1810W./2850W. @ 2 ohm per channel (cont./peak <1% THD). It features individual power supplies per channel for ultimate reliability and a huge capacitor bank rating of 210 Joules per channel for dynamic power reserve.

For optimum sound reproduction the amp is equipped with Dynamic Damping Controltm (SA's proprietary circuit that compensates for signal loss in long speaker cables), enabling a damping factor of 10.000, which gives the amp maximum control over the speaker cone movement. The result is a very tight and accurate mid and bass response.

In addition, the amplifier has total control over the speaker through the "Extended Function Network" (EFNtm). In the front-accessible EFN slots, SA speaker dedicated modules can be placed. Each module has speaker dedicated parameters for clip/excursion protection, optimized filtering and power control. In this way all SA systems deliver maximum output with optimum sound quality without any chance of mechanical damage.
Ultimate reliability is guaranteed with ACEtm, Active Clip Eliminator, a circuit which constantly monitors both outputs of the amplifier for continued clipping. This newly designed control circuit goes far beyond the traditional clip limiter: When clipping is detected, the related input level is inaudibly reduced to the safest maximum level, in order to prevent harmonics from damaging the drivers. A high speed attacking protection without any compression side-effects. This guarantees operation under all circumstances, while maintaining the amplifier's sonic qualities.
Other features like SA's well-known 3mm./0.12-in "mil-spec" aluminum ARMoR chassis, multiple protection circuits "Soft Start" circuit, high temperature, DC and short circuit protection, "easy bridge mode" and 2W load stability, make the ES 40 "Road(y) proof".
