Crown's New IQ-PIP-USP2/CN CobraNet Module

Crown Audio has unveiled the new IQ-PIP-USP2/CN module. When installed in any of Crown's PIP2-compatible amplifiers - including Com-Tech 10 Series and Macro-Tech 02 Series models - the IQ-PIP-USP2/CN creates the industry's first CobraNet compatible amplifier.

The IQ-PIP-USP2/CN integrates the latest CobraNet audio-networking technology and a full complement of audio signal processing in a package that requires absolutely no rack space. In addition, the module connect the amplifier to the IQ Bus of an IQ System, allowing the amplifier to be controlled and monitored via Crown IQ.

Like Crown's IQ-PIP-USP2, the new CN version offers an extensive list of features, including output signal delay of up to 600 milliseconds for precise acoustic alignment, input and output compressor/limiters, auto standby for reduced energy costs, plus eight independent, fully adjustable filters per channel.

The module also provides on-screen error reporting of fault, high temperature, and excessive distortion, so operators can know quickly if any changes occur in their amplifier's status. Meanwhile, the IQ-PIP-USP2/CN's real-time load supervision feature ensures that the user will be notified immediately of any changes to the load.
