R-H PowerNet Keys Major Install In Mexico

More than 100 Renkus-Heinz PN Series self-powered, networkable loudspeakers were recently installed at the Teatro el Granero and Teatro el Galeon complex in Mexico City. The installation was provided by system integrator Teletec de Mexico S.A. de C.V., the R-H Latin American Distributor of the Year.

PN Series loudspeakers, which can be remotely controlled using the R-H R-Control Remote System Supervision Network, includes five full-range loudspeakers and two subwoofers, each incorporating class A/B amplification with Loudspeaker Specific Processing for optimum performance and reliability.

Teatro el Granero, a smaller theatre, offers audience seating around all four sides of a central rectangular stage. The system for this room features PN82 full-range loudspeakers (dual 8-in low/mid drivers and 1-in compression driver on a Complex Conic horn), PN112 subwoofers, and PN81 cabinets (single 8-in low/mid and a 1-in compression driver on a Complex Conic horn). A Renkus-Heinz D26A Digital Controller commands the system.

Sabine graphic equalizers, Sennheiser and Shure radio systems, Tascam cassette, CD and MiniDisc players, a Yamaha SPX990 multiple effects processor and a Yamaha 03D digital console complete this compact digital audio system.

Teatro el Galeon, a larger, multipurpose theater, includes reconfigurable seating and stage layout with moveable loudspeaker positions. The system again uses extensive Shure and Sennheiser radio systems, with a PN Series loudspeaker system controlled by a pair of Renkus-Heinz D26A digital controllers. Specifically, loudspeakers are PN121 (1 x 12-in, 1 x 1-in drivers, Complex Conic horn) and PN82 cabinets.

A Yamaha 02R desk is at the heart of this system, with Tascam players, Yamaha SPX990 effects processing and Sabine GRQ-3102S graphic equalizers.
