IVIE, Richmond Sound Design and Symetrix Become CobraNet Affiliates
Peak Audio has announced the signings of three new members to the CobraNet Affiliates program. Peak's National Sales Manager, Jimmy Kawalek, made the announcement.
Peak Audio offers two options for acquiring the CobraNet technology - becoming a Licensee or an Affiliate. As a Licensee, users are granted full access to detailed deliverables including source code and component layouts. The technology is then embedded directly into the manufacturer's product.
CobraNet Affiliates may purchase CobraNet CM-1 modules from Peak Audio for inclusion into their products, but are not granted access to the detailed information that is provided to a Licensee.
"The Affiliates program enables manufacturers to quickly and easily integrate CobraNet into their product line," states Kawalek. "Many manufacturers want to get their products onto the network, but they also want to avoid re-doing pcb layouts or dedicating the engineering staff to make it happen from scratch. The CM-1 module is a cost effective way to get new or existing products onto a network in a short timeframe and with little engineering effort".

All three of these new affiliates are currently developing CobraNet products that should be delivered in Quarter 1 or 2 of 2002. |
