NSCA Expo Manufacturer Training Schedule Announced
NSCA (specific link: http://www.nsca.org/nscaweb/content/resource/news/article.asp?document=489) has announced the schedule of manufacturer training sessions slated for Expo 2001 in Orlando.The below sessions are open to all contractors attending the NSCA Expo at no cost:

Note: Learn how to use the Sabine Graphi-Q multi-function digital signal processor to control sound. The focus will be on audio solutions using both the Graphi-Q Remote Software and the SmaartLive interface. Expert sound engineer Mark Frink will demonstrate setup procedure for tuning a system using SmaartLive as an analytical tool and the Graphi-Q as a system controller. Attendees will also receive an in-depth look at the Graphi-Q's bank of digital filters, including the FBX Feedback Exterminator, as well as the compressor/limiter, delay, and linking functions. Mark is a well-known engineer whose work credentials include The Super Bowl, The Three Tenors, Joni Mitchell, and k.d. lang.

Note: This session will cover training and demonstrations of video display/projector calibration using a video generator and the color analyzer. Setup and calibration techniques, including geometry, convergence, black level and white level, white balance, and color adjustments, with emphasis on and demonstration of white balance calibration will be outlined.

Note: Applications of an Audio Analyzer to professional sound installations, featuring sound level measurement (SPL), 1/12 octave real-time analyzer (RTA), energy time graph, noise criteria tests, reverb decay time (RT60), speaker polarity and distortion tests, noise/tone generator, and impedance sweep will be examined. The class will overview and demonstrate the SP295 SoundPro functions and outline their use in installing and calibrating a professional sound installation.
