QSC Receives Productivity Achievement Award
The 11th annual Productivity Achievement Awards, recently hosted by Modern Materials Handling (MMH) magazine, bestowed top honors for manufacturing excellence on QSC Audio.
On hand from QSC were Chief Operating Officer John Andrews and Director of Operations Bob Meigs. "On behalf of everyone at QSC, I'd like to say this honor stands out from others we've received," Meigs told those in attendance following MMH's formal presentation ."While we certainly appreciate accolades from anyone, this acknowledgement has new meaning. That's because now, for the first time, we're being singled-out for recognition in front of professionals from a number of industries other than our own."
Individual Productivity Achievement Awards for 2001 were handed out in categories for warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing. Winners in each were selected by an editorial advisory board from 24 companies profiled in the pages of MMH last year, based in part on their capability to respond quickly to changing market conditions, and demonstrating an ability to constantly improve overall operations.
"This is indeed a special distinction for us," QSC COO John Andrews added. "It's a constant struggle simply trying to do our best, and along the way it's easy to get lost in taking care of the myriad day-to-day responsibilities. When a respected publication such as MMH gives you this kind of attention, it really brings focus to the fact that all the effort is paying off. In a larger sense, it's my hope others may learn from our experiences by following the footprints we've left on the road to manufacturing success themselves."
