QSC has hit the road to offer hands-on demonstrations of complete, multichannel WideLine-8 and WideLine-10 line array systems, with stops already made in Atlanta and Las Vegas, and one coming up on May 20-21 in Chicagoland at the McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Just as at past stops, interested parties will have opportunities to get behind the console in front of systems including WideLine and ILA (Installation Line Array) enclosures, as well as HPR Series self-powered loudspeakers.

“The whole idea of this trip is to literally put these systems into the hands of people who want to find out for themselves what they can do in real world situations,” says QSC’s Brian English, who along with Jon Graves, has hosted and coordinated events at each stop. “Visiting guests will be able to test drive any combination of the loudspeakers we’ll have setup.”

Guest speakers have been part of the mix at the tour stops, with QSC founder Pat Quilter making some appearances. Mark Engebretson, QSC’s VP of R&D and chief systems architect, will share his wisdom with those in attendance at the next Chicagoland event.

Those attending the next demo are also eligible to register for “The WideLine-8 Giveaway”, a contest that will award the grand prize winner with a complete WideLine-8 concert rig including speakers, amps, and processing worth approximately $39,227.00.

The WideLine-8 Giveaway is only open to residents of the US and Canada (excluding residents of Puerto Rico, Florida, New York and Quebec), who are over the age of 18 and who attend one of QSC’s WideLine road shows. Those wishing to participate in the contest at the Chicagoland event should fill out an entry form and drop it into the entry drop box located at the information kiosk. You must be present at the road show on the tour date in order to enter. No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase will not increase odds of winning. Only one entry will be accepted per person; all applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

Those interested in participating in this next hands-on demo need only to go online and register at http://www.qscaudio.com/tour/. All official rules governing the WideLine-8 Giveaway can also be found via this link.
