Flood Waters Don’t Stop Business As Usual At NSCA

Posted By Keith Clark,

The staff of the NSCA continues to work on behalf of its membership in temporary offices despite the historic flood waters in June that closed NSCA’s headquarters in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. (The photo here shows the exterior of the headquarters building after the flood receded. The building remains closed.)

In fact, many NSCA staff members still traveled to InfoComm 08 despite the crisis. NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson notes that throughout the ordeal, the association’s phones were always on, member communications continued to go out, and member services never ceased.

“Many attendees and exhibitors at InfoComm expressed their concern regarding the recent flooding that affected our office building and our city,” Wilson said. “We appreciate their kindness and with a temporary office space secured, all of our staff is back from Las Vegas and eager to continue helping our members build their businesses.”
