Phoenix, AZ (January 2008): Atlas Sound, a division of the Mitek High Performance Communications group and a manufacturer of commercial sound products, announced the following regional sales manager assignments.

Effective immediately Mike McCormick will assume sales management responsibilities for the entire Eastern Region including the following manufacturer’s representative firms: IMI (New England & Upstate NY), Peter E Schmitt CO (New York City & New Jersey), SK MacDonald (DC, Eastern PA, & the Virginias), Avcom (Ohio & Western PA), Secom (Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, & Tennessee) and Bencsik Associates (Florida).  Mike started with Atlas Sound four years ago in the position of mobile events coordinator and driver for the Atlas mobile showroom. Since then he has earned the respect of his peers as well as the Atlas Sound field representatives by demonstrating exceptional product knowledge, prompt follow-up and a focus on positive customer relationships.  Mike was promoted to Southeastern regional manager just over a year ago. Through 2007 he was successful in spearheading the growth of the two sales territories in this region to over 119% of goal.

Young continues, “Mike truly started at the ground level of our company, but with his consistent, positive work ethic and a customer service driven sales philosophy he has elevated himself to a position that presents amazing opportunity.” Although Mike will continue to travel extensively he will retain his office in Mitek’s Monroe, WI facility.

Concurrent with the Eastern regional changes, Midwestern regional sales manager Ken Peck will assume management responsibilities of one additional rep territory – Monfort Electronic Sales (Indiana & Kentucky).  There are no changes to the Atlas Sound Western Region currently managed by Manny Kitagawa.
