Moderator: Do you still get the chance to do live mixing?

Tim: How about just cover it with water? Yes I still do a bit of live mixing! I love doing it and probably need to make sure I'm not getting too rusty.

Levon: Have you checked out any of the newer large-format digital consoles like Innova-Son and/or Yamaha PM1D?

Tim: I have seen the PM1D. It was quite impressive. Routing everywhere and the ability to preset and group things all over the place. If they can just insure that it will run for more than six hours at a time and actually get the price tag to where more people can afford it, I think it will be great!

MattKal: Are you saying they may be unstable?

Tim: Yes, they had quite a few problems with stability in the first uses. I'm guessing they have worked a fair bit on it since a few months ago, but I'd want to be sure it was fixed before I dropped that kind of money.

Levon: How about Innova-Son - I believe it may be more suited to a fixed environment, and the price is perhaps more friendly??

Tim: I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Innova-Son enough to really comment on it.

Moderator: OK, Tim - last question: What's your absolute most favorite piece of gear in the world, bar none, absolutely, etc!

Tim: I would definitely say the TC Electronics M5000. I absolutely love the sounds in it. I'm hoping I get to use the M6000 soon too.. This of course is followed directly by the Sonic Accelerator. Hopefully you'll be hearing more about this product soon. Beta testing so far has been phenomenal!

Moderator: Thank you, Tim, for sharing your time and knowledge.

Tim: My pleasure.
