OSM: Used the A-T condenser handheld vocal last week. It is incredible,
more stable than some of the others and sounds just as beautiful.
It’s a version of the 40 series studio mics, which I have
liked since they were introduced.
Gene S: Did the OSM start or finish the Pin 2/3 hot issue? What
was it to you when they changed?
OSM: That is a sore subject with me and I know many others. What
the hell is wrong with an industry that didn't lock down on one
choice! They didn't learn, either. Look at the competing digital
audio formats. Obey the black helicopters. One world. One currency.
One hot pin. One music data file.
MarkA: Where do old Crown DC-300's go when they retire?
OSM: They run headphones and NS-10's in filthy little studios in
the sticks, where the engineer's breath stinks like booze and his
buddy offers you terrible white powders. Run! Run!
Chence W: What’s your choice of fast food after a late night
gig?
OSM: There is this burger joint ... where you should not order anything
EXCEPT the burgers.
Grampa Lee: And on the subject of consumables, what's your post
show drink of choice?
OSM: For a chest cold, Jager. To build strength, Guinness. When
I am pissed off, non-alcoholic Clausthaler, which is some good-tasting
beer, people. I actually also drink it when I am really, really
happy.
Joe Geek: Do you eat anything healthy?
OSM: Sure, man. I am in an area with a lot of farmers, you might
say. Organic food is the best. I need to eat that in order to be
a moron sometimes with pastrami or whatever. Ice cream and me go
way back. Unfortunately.
Chence W: Who was the last band you toured with?
OSM: Hey, Chence? Go find someone who will jump into your traps.
I thought I told the moderator to screen guys like you.
Moderator: His credentials were in order.
OSM: I guess I'm not a big celeb like Scovi. Or Scheirman. You played
ball with them!
