Moderator: Joe, welcome to ProSoundWeb live chat. Can you give us a little background on yourself?
Joe Wisler: Background could be lengthy. Ive been doing this audio stuff since 1972, starting in high school. I then worked with a couple of touring groups and moved on to the PTL television network, doing live TV.
Steve: How did you enjoy live TV?
Joe: It is always fun and challenging you never know what to expect and can make great blooper tapes.
J.C.: What did you do, specifically, while at PTL?
Joe: I started out with tape duplication, moved into live concert work and then coordinated the audio staff, and mixed live on air.
Tom: Did you work at Crown?
Joe: I started at Crown in 1988 and just left there last year.
Tom: What did you do at Crown?
Joe: Began as a sales manager, and then went into product development. After that, it was training, and thats where I put together the Crown Truck.
Tom: So how many miles did you log with the Crown Truck over the years?
Joe: Scary to think
The first two years I did all the driving and most of the training. And since then, at least 200,000 miles.
TJ: What do you think was the biggest accomplishment/contribution of the truck?
Joe: It was a great way to show product. We got folks out of their environment and into ours.
jim w: What products did you develop while at Crown?
Joe: I actually am afraid to admit I put solder on the first IQ Drone board and worked on some other IQ products with C.B.
