In 2015 RCF embarked on a mission to update and improve its SMA stage monitor range by introducing the TT25-CXA full range coaxial monitor.

Now the company has gone a step further, introducing the active TT45-CXA, dual 10-inch two-way cabinet.

“What differentiates the TT45-CXA is that it is a symmetrical cabinet, and extremely powerful, with two 10-inch woofers and 4-inch horn-loaded compression driver,” says the RCF engineering team. “We’ve lowered the crossover point to 600 Hz, providing superior voicing, transparent midrange and extremely accurate high frequencies.”

The versatility extends far beyond that of a floor wedge. Pole-mounting options on the side, and associated flying hardware mean that it can also be deployed for side fill duties, or without pole mount as a flown cabinet from the stage trussing using quick-lock pins.

As part of the Theater and Touring Series, the TT45-CXA includes RCF’s RDNet processing, enabling optimization of the cabinet in all applications as well as being able to integrate into system designs, manage DSP control and monitor all of the cabinet’s components.

“We believe this speaker is unique as we are the only company putting a 4-inch compression driver in a stage monitor and yet we have managed to keep the dimensions to a minimum,” says RCF.

In terms of construction the RCF TT45-CXA uses Birch plywood, finished in polyurea coating with heavy-duty powder coated grille. It has been designed to withstand the rigors of the road while the chassis is sufficiently supported to enable musicians to rest their feet on it while performing. Transport has also been taken into consideration a top handle and side handles in aluminium to aid portability.

The TT45-CXA will be on display in the RCF NAMM booth #6780.
