Rational Acoustics has announced today that it has appointed ModsArt as the exclusive distributors for all Rational Acoustics and Smaart branded products for Italy.

Founded by brothers Davide and Luigi Lombardi, ModsArt provides Italian distribution for a select group of lighting and equipment including Jands lighting consoles and Outline loudspeakers.

They also provide training classes for audio professionals including Outline’s Certified System Engineer course and, in the future, Rational Acoustics Smaart Training Classes.

Davide Lombardi comes from a successful career as a sound engineer and system technician, having worked extensively with UK-base Britannia Row over the past 8 year on such tours at Oasis, Amy Winehouse & James Taylor.  H

e is currently on tour with opera mega-star Andrea Bocelli.  Luigi Lombardi comes from an equally successful career in lighting design.

“We are very excited to welcome ModsArt to the Rational Acoustics team” says Karen Anderson, Rational Acoustics COO.

“Davide and Luigi are exactly the type of small, independent, passionate distributors that we look for, choosing products to represent for their quality and innovation as opposed to simply their sales volume.”

“They are also highly committed to the education of the professional audio market in Italy, which is vital to the support and understanding of a product like Smaart. ”

Commented Davide “We are proud to offer support to every Smaart user in Italy. Smaart has become the industry standard in system analysis and optimization and it’s an honor for us to be part of the Rational Acoustics team.”

ModsArt began distribution of Rational Acoustics and Smaart products effective December 1, 2010 and will be holding their first Smaart Training classes in Italy in the early part of 2011.
