Harman Professional has appointed Marc Lee Shannon as senior manager, business development for its USA Regional Sales Office (RSO).

Shannon will focus primarily on sales efforts for AKG professional audio products and will also be involved in brand promotions for other Harman Pro companies, reporting directly to Mark Posgay, senior director, US Sales.

“Marc Lee brings more than 30 years of sales leadership experience to Harman,” says Posgay. “His applicative knowledge of microphones and headphones makes him an invaluable asset to our team as we continue to strengthen the presence of AKG across a wide range of pro audio markets.”

Previously, Shannon was principal at sales and marketing consulting firm 3thingsinlife and held sales and management positions at Marshall Amplification, Audio-Technica and Soundboard Music. He is also an accomplished musician and composer, and attended Musicians Institute and The University at Akron.

“Throughout my career Harman has been a leader in the pro audio and MI markets. I’m eager to get to know our customers and channel partners on a one-to-one basis and to work with them to ensure they are receiving maximum value from their investment in our growing range of product offerings,” Shannon says.
