L-Acoustics Soundvision.
L-Acoustics has announced that a new GLL (generic loudspeaker library) is now available for its WST systems, including KIVA, ARCS, KUDO and KARA.
The development now provides complete compatibility between L-Acoustics’ SOUNDVISION and AFMG’s EASE software applications for acoustic source data, as well as for audience area.
The new GLL format allows quick insertion and setup of L-Acoustics WST systems in EASE 4 system design software.
The library provides line source radiation patterns, and audience area data can be shared by both applications using import/export functions.
L-Acoustics systems integrators will benefit greatly from this new feature, as using EASE allows increased accuracy, taking into account the Acoustics of the room and providing compatibility with projects being worked on by acoustic consultants.
“We were the first to develop the previous version of GLL, EASE DLL, and we are thrilled to bring this new evolution to L-Acoustics system integrators around the word,” says Cédric Montrézor, head of installation support at L-Acoustics.
“This follows our overall installation development strategy which includes new installations ranges, namely our recently-introduced XTi series and forthcoming KARAi and SB18i.”
L-Acoustics launched the SOUNDVISION acoustic modelling software in 2004, drawing on its experience of modelling acoustic sound sources. Developed for sound designers, it is dedicated to the acoustic and mechanical simulation of L-Acoustics’ WST line source systems and coaxial point source technologies.
