HOW-TO Church Sound Workshops, ASSIST Training Sessions Announced For October & November
+- Print Email Share RSS RSS

Fits & Starts Productions has announced dates for several upcoming HOW-TO Church Sound Workshop training sessions coming up in October and November (2012).

Now in its 10th year of touring, HOW-TO Workshops train 1,500-2,000 worship techs and volunteers each year, while raising the visibility of tour sponsors over the 45,000-mile annual tour.

Unless your church sound system is working properly, your minister and praise team won’t be able to lead worship without interference or interruption. And they can only do their best when the sound team is performing at maximum efficiency. The key is proper training.

Get hands-on training from pro sound engineer and writer Mike Sokol in a relaxed “hands-on” classroom. Sound teams and volunteer staff will learn how to mix professionally using up to 30 Hands-On workstations in the workshop!

The HOW-TO Sound Workshops cover topics such as solo and mute functions on the mixing console, selecting the proper microphone for each voice and instrument, equalization for musicality and clarity, and how to stop feedback. You can learn more in a single 8-hour session than by years of experimentation on your own. Click HERE for class content.

Advanced Training Classes Added

The advanced ASSIST seminar (Academy of Sound System Installation, Setup, and Troubleshooting) has been added for anyone who designs, installs, sets up, and maintains sound systems. It covers advanced topics such as shock and electrical safety, hum and buzz reduction, setting delays for large rooms, speaker placement options, and digital mixer remote control.  The ASSIST class also includes a written test and certificate of completion which can count towards your continuing education credits.
