Following a period of significant growth, d&b audiotechnik has created a new market research department headed by Henning Kaltheuner, who is serving in the role of market research manager, based in Backnang, Germany.
Kaltheuner’s professional career includes 10 years at audio rental house Padco in Köln before establishing boutique pro audio specialist Teqsas, which Kaltheuner ran successfully for five years. He then joined Yamaha Commercial Audio, working with the product planning department in Japan.
This was followed by three years at Riedel Communications as head of product management before joining d&b audiotechnik in late 2013.
A graduate of Köln University with a Masters degree in Psychology, Kaltheuner notes that his qualifications and experience might appear at odds with his new role with d&b. “But in fact,” he notes, “the two things are very closely related; marketing is by definition both a science and an art, and those two factors also reside at the heart of what d&b audiotechnik does as a developer and manufacturer of professional audio systems.”
