In celebration of Fishman’s “35 years of Inspired Performance Technology” the company will be launching a yearlong social media campaign to showcase its products, build brand awareness and encourage engagement among Fishman fans and fans of their lineup of OEM partners – present and future.
Utilizing a combination of targeted, pay-per-click advertising, strategic call-to-action engagement, active listening and incentivized activation, the plan is to re-target and re-market to players who might not yet know about the wide assortment of products and product categories the company currently offers.
Fishman founder, Larry Fishman states, “When I started out, I was just looking for a better solution to amplify my bass. From there things really took off and we went from Fishman Transducers, to Fishman Acoustic Amplification and now it’s Fishman Inspired Performance Technology.
“Each iteration of Fishman reflects an expansion into new categories. The common thread, whether it’s an acoustic pickup, amplifier, MIDI controller or electric guitar pickup, relates directly to my original desire to create sound and affordable solutions to real problems.”
In addition to connecting with existing followers, Fishman will also be focused on building followers on their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube pages.
The campaign will encourage users to comment with a photo of them doing something that relates to the culture of Fishman and then ask “friends” and followers to comment and share. The photos that receive the most “likes” will win; encouraging entrants to have their friends interact with their photo. The second and third runners up will also receive prizes.
The promotion is broken into four quarters. Each quarter, the company will give away a Fishman-equipped OEM instrument that features technologies such as Aura, Fluence, and TriplePlay. Additionally, every two weeks, Fishman will also give away a Loudbox Mini amplifier to one winner. There will also be daily “grab-bag” prizes such as tuners and other small goods.
Commenting on the campaign, director of marketing Chris DeMaria said, “Everyone knows us for our acoustic products, but to many players our other offerings, while no less groundbreaking, may be a bit under the radar. We want everyone, players of all genres and inclinations to know there are Fishman solutions for them too.”
