+- Print Email Share RSS RSS

Staging at a Radiohead concert in Toronto collapsed prior to the show on Saturday, June 16, killing one person and injuring three others.

The Toronto Star reports that the man killed was Scott Johnson, 33, the drum tech for the band.

In a statement on the Radiohead website (here), drummer Philip Selway states: “We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott’s family and all those close to him.”

A full investigation is underway. More details as well as photos are provided by the Toronto Star here and at CX Online here.
