Euphonix has announced native EuCon control protocol support for its Professional Series of consoles and controllers in Apple’s new Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio.
While Logic Pro has included native EuCon support for over two years, this latest release from Apple adds EuCon support for Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Color, and Logic Express.
Apple’s integration of Euphonix’ EuCon Ethernet control protocol into its flagship video and music suites provides Euphonix professional users with high-speed, high-resolution, hands-on control over some of the finest professional media applications in the world.
Now Euphonix’ entire range of music and post products from the Artist Series media controllers, to the MC Pro, System 5-MC, S5 Fusion, and the System 5 digital audio mixing system have high-speed Ethernet network access to these Apple media applications making it much easier to move from audio to video projects while retaining sophisticated control from professional control surfaces.
The MC Pro and System 5-MC are both Ethernet controllers that change their surface to match the application in focus.
The MC Pro is the professional version of the new Euphonix Artist Series MC Control and is at the heart of the System 5-MC. It has 56 programmable SmartSwitches for fast and easy access to keystroke commands and macros, 8 softknobs for plug-ins, pan and aux send control, touch-screen, joysticks and shuttle/jog wheel.
The System 5-MC adds channel strips to an MC Pro with 8 knobs and high-res TFT displays per channel, perfect for recording editing and mixing. S5 Fusion and System 5 include external DAW control via EuCon as well as DSP channels, I/O, machine control and a digital router/patchbay.
Euphonix has worked closely with the world’s leading software developers like Apple, Steinberg, MOTU and others to deeply integrate native EuCon support into their media applications to provide high-resolution, high-speed control over almost all software functions.
EuCon also supports the HUI and Mackie Control protocols for even greater flexibility, offering control of applications at a faster speed and higher resolution than any other controller.
