I’m not advocating breaking the law,but if you are outside major metropolitan area’s do you think the FCC really cares?In the past how many times has a broadcaster turned a deaf ear toward you when you complained that their tv station was coming through your wireless or guitar amp?Where I live they are more interested in what is going on in Asia than any local.Now I understand that the 700MHZ band could get so crowded that you can’t find a channel,but other than theaters are you telling me the FCC has a huge inventory of trucks with gear to catch everyone of us.Come on “Big Brother” couldn’t even stop 9/11.

We love this news in Nigeria [no such restrictions]so kindly ship all your 700mhz systems over here. We wont charge for taking care of your ‘wastes’!

In canada, the 700 mhz spectrum will be auctionned off in late 2012. Once that is done, i don’t know how long it can take for the ban of wireless music equipment in that range to take effect. Today is april 17 2011. Maybe by early 2014, they will become illegal.

Hadn’t heard about it till I read this article, I didn’t know that 250,000 units in the US will soon be illegal! That’s a little scary. I bet people will still be selling them on eBay though because most people don’t know any better

Wow that’s amazing to think of so many people breaking the law without realising they were doing so!
