Britannia Row Productions is enjoying a busy autumn and winter season, with its entire Midas digital inventory out on major international tours.

Two XL8s continue on Jamiroquai’s world tour, with Rick Pope at front of house and Tristan Farrow on monitors. “Out of all the digital boards that I’ve used in the live environment, the XL8 is sonically by far the best,” says Pope of the XL8. “The definition in one’s mix can only be described as 3-D; I have not heard separation like this before.”

Another XL8 has been out with Cliff Richard, with James ‘JJ’ John on monitors, while front of house engineer Mike ‘Bunny’ Warren has been using a PRO6. An XL8/PRO6 combination is now being used on Kasabian under the control of FOH engineer Paul Ramsey, with a PRO6 being used by monitor engineer Yogi.

PRO Series consoles are also out on other BRP tours including a PRO9 on Tinie Tempah, with Mark Kennedy at front of house; a PRO6 on Beady Eye with Spooner on monitors and two PRO6s on Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds tour, with Antony King at front of house and Nahuel Gutierrez on monitors.

A further PRO6 continues on Foo Fighters’ world tour, with Ian Beveridge at front of house. “It’s the best sounding console I have ever used, bar none,” says Beveridge. “The band themselves commented on the sonic improvement the moment the PRO6 arrived.”

“It’s great to see such an iconic brand coming to the forefront again, and deservedly so,” says BRP managing director Bryan Grant. “We’ve always believed that engineers were looking for that Midas audio quality and this is obviously happening.”

best microphone grabs all of them with abundant warmth and clarity. Much shure

wireless microphone at both sides of the range than the Shure Microphone.

The shure mic includes a fashioned frequency response which is perfect for close-up

vocals. Fantastic abilities of this Shure Beta microphone is not influenced by abrasive

treatment due to the tough building, verified shock support technique, and solidified

steel mesh grille.

The designated audio source will bring out a powerful and distinct vocal feeling, while

not putting in that irritating squeal into the signal path. As a matter of fact, Shure

58a Beta generates approximately 4dB more output than the shure headphones.
