Behringer has announced that their X32 Digital Mixer, S16 Stage Box and P16 Monitoring System have been selected by the acclaimed Swiss Christmas show in Zurich, Switzerland for their annual production.

This world-renowned event weaves acrobatic performance with live music and theater into a unique interpretation of a classic Christmas story that becomes the centerpiece of Zurich’s storybook Christmas season.

Set in a massive tent city on the outdoor velodrome in Zurich-Oerlikon, the annual show attracts visitors from all over the world.

This unique location requires a stable and reliable audio setup that also delivers premium sound quality and the fast pace of the show demands a superior workflow. The X32 system proved to be just what was needed, providing front of house mixing, digital transport between stage and FOH position and a complete personal monitoring setup.

With 32 MIDAS-designed Mic preamps, 40-bit floating point audio processing, 8 internal effects processors, extensive AES50 and ULTRANET audio networking capabilities plus the incomparable workflow with 25 Motorized Faders and customizable LCD Scribble Strips the X32 turned out to be the perfect digital FOH mixer for this complex audio production.

Additionally two S16 Digital Snakes and a P16 system, connected with a single CAT-5 cable to the X32, distribute audio with nearly zero latency over a distance of 100 meters between stage and FOH position.

Swiss Christmas FOH sound engineer Clemi Kuster states “The Behringer X32 meets our requirements perfectly. The entire system with S16 stage boxes and the P16 system connect seamlessly without any setup hassles. For preparing and running the show we did not even need to look at the manual. The workflow is self-explanatory and intuitive. I am still amazed about the sound of the Mic pres and the low latency across the entire setup.”

The Swiss Christmas show starts on November 21st and will be performed with a daily schedule until December, 31st. For further information about this event, please visit http://www.swisschristmas.com.
