At the upcoming Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt, B&C Speakers will be unveiling two new additions to its high-performance SW Series of woofers with two new 15-inch models, the 15SW100 and 15SW115.

The new 15SW100 is a 4-inch voice coil, 3,000-watt, neodymium motor woofer that includes B&C’s split winding voice coil technology, which dramatically reduces distortion and non-linearity.

In addition, peak-to-peak excursion is 57mm, and other features include a ventilated voice coil gap for reduced power compression, and an aluminum demodulation ring that further reduces distortion.

The new 15SW115 is a 4.5-inch voice coil, 3,400-watt, neodymium motor woofer that includes the same features as the 15SW100, but with peak-to-peak excursion of 60 mm and response down to 35 Hz (Fs).

15SW100 Overview:
  * 3000 W continuous program power capacity
  * 100 mm (4 in) split winding copper voice coil
  * 40 - 1500 Hz response
  * 95 dB sensitivity
  * 57 mm peak-to-peak excursion before damage
  * Double silicone spider with optimized compliance
  * Ventilated voice coil gap for reduced power compression
  * Aluminum demodulating ring for very low distortion

15SW115 Overview:
  * 3400 W continuous program power capacity
  * 116 mm (4.5 in) split winding copper voice coil
  * 35 - 1500 Hz response
  * 96 dB sensitivity
  * Double silicone spider with optimized compliance
  * 60 mm peak-to-peak excursion before damage
  * Ventilated voice coil gap for reduced power compression
  * Aluminum demodulating ring for very low distortion

Also at Prolight + Sound, B&C will be unveiling the 5MDN38 midrange and the 5NDL38 woofer. Both have 1.5-inch voice coils, are rated at 180 watts continuous power, and feature a
shorting copper cap for extended high frequency.

Further, new to the company’s range of coaxial components is the 6HCX51, a mini-coax featuring a single neodymium magnet assembly for both woofer and driver.

The polyester diaphragm high-frequency driver is loaded with a small 70-degree horn. The result is a warm and natural tone that compliments the woofer without over powering it.

A 300-watt power rating makes the 6HCX51 practical for a wide variety of applications, especially for small format fixed installation enclosures.
