ProSoundWeb.com is a web community for all aspects of the professional sound industry including live sound, installed sound, recorded sound, lighting, and industry business trends. Our pro audio community has grown to more than 165,000 monthly unique visitors who turn more than 3.5 million pages a month.

ProSoundWeb.com was originally owned by Universal Concept, Inc. which was formed to create web communities for professional music, audio lighting and related industries. The Live-Audio Board (LAB) joined ProSoundWeb when PSW debuted in October 2000. Since the inception of the LAB in 1995, the Live-Audio Board has built up a following (one could even say at times a cult) of fanatical regular participants, with peaks of more than a 1.3 million pageviews and 27,000 unique visitors per month.

Building on this foundation, ProSoundWeb launched the Rec Pit forum (Jan 2001), an extremely active and exciting cluster of recording based forums as well as the Recording section of the site. Our recording audience averaged more than 1.0 million pageviews and 79,000 unique visitors each month. ProSoundWeb also hosted the Install Forum, User Forums (populated by a number of manufacturer forums/links), the LAB subwoofer forum, and a Lighting Forum. Given the complexity of all these forums--and the half-dozen different Web technologies each was based upon--in April of 2004 PSW launched a new cluster of forums using the most flexible and powerful forum serving software available. These forums comprise three major forums: Sound Reinforcement (SR), R/E/P (Recording / Engineer / Producer), and MARS (Musicians And Recording Stuff). The LAB, LAB Lounge, Install, Lighting, House of Worship, and related SR forums can be found in the SR Forums, whilst the Rec Pit morphed into the two forums, Marsh and R/E/P. ProSoundWeb also features Ken's Links, an in-depth Study Hall populated with thousands of whites papers and how-to applications features as well as a host of member services and industry features.

Huge Universe, Inc., was formed in February 2003 as the parent company of ProSoundWeb.com and Live Sound International magazine. Combining the best of print and web media, the first step in this joint venture was the relaunch of the LiveSoundInt.com website, featuring online subscriptions and an extensive and constantly growing archive section drawn from the past decade of Live Sound International magazines. In June 2006, Huge Universe was acquired by EH Publishing, Inc., an integrated media company, producing market leading publications, events and e-media for the technology and construction industries. With the resources of EH Publishing, we are continuing to enhance our membership offerings as we grow. Welcome to the community!
